Dental Plastic Endo Ultra Activator with 120pcs Tips
Product Description
Dental Plastic Endo Ultra Activator with 120pcs Tips
The Endo Activator is used in endodontic treatment by application of sonic energy. The Activator tips are used in conjunction with the handpiece Driver to provide the energy for tip oscillation and vibration.
The Dental Plastic Endo Ultra Activator is a specialized, non-metallic, disposable tip designed to be attached to an ultrasonic scaleror a dedicated piezoelectric unit for use in endodontic (root canal) procedures.
What is its Primary Function?
Its core function is to activate irrigating solutions (like sodium hypochlorite - bleach, EDTA, or chlorhexidine) inside the root canal. It does this by transmitting high-frequency ultrasonic vibrations into the fluid, creating two main effects:
Acoustic Streaming: A powerful, rapid flow of fluid that pushes irrigant into lateral canals, fins, and isthmuses that files cannot reach.
Cavitation: The formation and implosion of microscopic bubbles within the fluid. This implosion creates shockwaves that disrupt and dislodge biofilm, tissue debris, and smear layer from the canal walls.
In simple terms, it "supercharges" the irrigant, making it much more effective at cleaning and disinfecting than simply syringing it into the canal.
Key Features and Design
Material: Made from medical-grade plastic or polyamide.
Advantage over Metal: Plastic is flexible and much less likely to cause iatrogenic damage, such as cutting a new pathway (transportation) or perforating the root canal wall, especially in curved canals.
Design: It is a simple, smooth, and non-cutting tip. It typically has a small, ball-like, or smooth end.
Connection: Designed to fit onto specific ultrasonic scaler handpieces that use a standard screw-in or push-fit connection for endodontic tips.
Single-Use: It is typically intended for single-patient use and then disposed of, ensuring perfect cross-infection control.
