Measures to extend the life of the handpiece

Before use: ensure that the compressed air of the dental chair is water-free and oil-free; ensure that the water of the dental chair is free of impurities; ensure that the air pressure of the dental chair is less than 40psi, unless the manufacturer has special regulations; ensure that the temperature of the handpiece has returned to room temperature.

During use: ensure that the air pressure is less than 40psi; try not to use large-headed and long needles; do not use needles that are too large or too small; do not use needles that are severely worn; do not use high-speed handpieces when technicians are grinding (including clinical models and restoration modifications).

After use: rinse the handpiece with detergent before sterilization; the sterilization temperature should not exceed 135℃; do not leave the handpiece in the sterilizer overnight; if lubricated after sterilization, only add a few drops of lubricating oil.

Weekly maintenance measures: use handpiece cleaner to clean the mandrel of the push-type handpiece.

Quarterly maintenance measures: check the air dryer and water filter of the dental chair.

Bearing replacement: Clean the phone case with an ultrasonic cleaner before installing the bearing; rinse the phone case and clean the phone head after ultrasonic cleaning; replace O-rings, springs, fixing clips and other parts in time.
