Dental (Red / Blue / Red & Blue) Articulating Paper for Articulating
Dental articulating paper is a thin, ink-coated or wax-coated paper strip that dentists use to check the bite (occlusion) and contact points between your upper and lower teeth.
When you bite down onto the paper, it leaves colored marks on the high spots or areas where the teeth make contact. This allows the dentist to see exactly where your teeth are touching and whether the contact is balanced.
Articulating paper serves several essential functions in both general dentistry and specialized procedures:
Adjusting Fillings & Crowns: After placing a new filling, crown, or bridge, the dentist uses the paper to identify any "high spots" where the restoration is too tall. These spots are then polished down to prevent discomfort, jaw pain, or damage to the restoration itself.
Checking Dentures & Partials: For removable prosthetics, the paper helps ensure the denture fits and contacts evenly against opposing teeth or the gum tissue.
Diagnosing Occlusal Issues: In cases of tooth wear, clenching (bruxism), or temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, the paper helps map out how the teeth are coming together, revealing imbalances.
Orthodontic Monitoring: Dentists and orthodontists use it to track how tooth contacts change as teeth move during braces or aligner treatment.
Articulating paper comes in different colors, thicknesses, and coatings:
1. Blue Thick: Adding the wearable filaments in the basic paper, assure that they will not be bitten off. The reticulalte basic paper can lock the pigments with maximize.
2. Red Thick: Newly hydrophili
c pigments formula enable the production of the red articulating paper. The dentists use the red and blue occluding paper to see the change of the occlusal surface before and after treatment.
3. Blue Normal Thickness: This is the most widely used model. it's softer and with better flexibility than traditional articulating paper so that it can be closely integrated with the teeth grooves to reduce the possibility of misjudgment.
4. Blu Thin: This thickness is half of teh thick articulating paper. The patients will feel more comfortable while biting, and it can offer the biting trace more accurately.
5. Red Thin: It is used in the process of wearing fake teeth, to check the matching degree of the teeth crown with gums.
6. All teeth type: It is used in the examination of full mouth bite, the dentist can find the biting side of the patients immediately.
